Contact Track & Trace

At the onset of the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) outbreak, the Ministry of Health in Singapore immediately set up a centre for contact tracing, where manpower resources were deployed to manually track and trace probable SARS cases. With the Defence Science & Technology Agency, Singapore Technologies Electronics (ST Electronics) jointly designed a tracking system within four days. The system leverages on ST Electronics' expertise in radio frequency technology and system integration of existing capabilities:
