Latest NewsJune 2008VT MÄK CEO Warren Katz Eurosatory Keynote Speaker Cambridge, Mass., June 3, 2008 — VT MÄK, (MÄK), a company of VT Systems Inc (VT Systems), is pleased to announce that company founder and chief executive officer Warren Katz will be a keynote speaker during the “Future Trends in Simulation” conferences at Eurosatory in Paris, France. Katz’s presentation, titled “Industry Trends — COTS and Simulation” will discuss the rise of COTS (Commercial Off The Shelf) tools in the defense simulation market. Katz’s presentation is Tuesday, June 17 at 1600 hours and MÄK’s solutions will be showcased in the Antycip Simulation Ltd (Antycip Simulation) booth U210 at the exhibition. Antycip Simulation is a subsidiary of Singapore Technologies Electronics Limited (ST Electronics). A noted industry advocate of open interoperability standards and commercial business models in defense procurement, Katz also has expertise in collaboration between the defense and video game industries. He was a six-term chairman of the Simulation Interoperability Standards Organization, the international not-for-profit consortium that manages the process for developing open interoperability standards for synthetic environments. Katz co-founded MÄK Technologies with John Morrison in 1990. The company was acquired by VT Systems of Alexandria, Virginia in December 2006 and changed its name to VT MÄK in February 2008. Katz holds dual bachelor’s degrees in mechanical and electrical engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
