Latest NewsSeptember 2007ST Electronics Awarded $7.8m Contract From Singapore Police Force Singapore, 6 September 2007 — Singapore Technologies Electronics Limited (ST Electronics), has been awarded a $7.8m contract by the Singapore Police Force (SPF) to provide customised Forward Command Vehicles (FCV) with state-of-the-art communication and electronics systems. The contract was awarded to ST Electronics wholly-owned subsidiary, ST Electronics (Info-Comm Systems) Pte Ltd. This contract award is not expected to have any material impact on the consolidated net tangible assets per share and earnings per share of ST Engineering for the current financial year. The contract, which commenced in July 2007, will have ST Electronics deliver the FCVs over a period of 20 months. ST Electronics won this contract against competition from international and local players. It will design, build, integrate, test, commission, maintain and support the FCVs that will be customised with comprehensive communication and electronics systems. The customised systems will provide the SPF with capabilities to enhance coordination of emergency response to critical situations. To meet the SPF’s stringent operational requirements, the FCV is designed to provide quick deployment, mobility, maintainability, reliability and expansion flexibility.
