ST Engineering Renames Its Electronics Subsidiaries To Strengthen Market Branding

Singapore, 3 January 2007 — Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd (ST Engineering) today announced that its electronics arm, Singapore Technologies Electronics Limited (ST Electronics), has renamed three of its subsidiaries to better reflect their core capabilities and strengthen the group branding.  The change is part of an overall effort by ST Electronics to create and leverage on a stronger group identity and branding vis-à-vis its customers in local and international markets.

The renamed companies are :

  1. DigiSAFE Pte Ltd renamed ST Electronics (Info-Security) Pte Ltd
  2. Interactive Visual Laboratory Pte Ltd renamed ST Electronics (Digital Media) Pte Ltd
  3. Xinke Information Systems Ltd, a company registered in Shenzhen, China, renamed ST Electronics (Software Services) Limited.

ST Electronics has identified three key areas of business growth namely satellite communication, e-Government and digital media.  As the company establishes its brand equity in these businesses internationally, it is timely to streamline the branding of our various subsidiaries to better reflect the group’s core capabilities and markets.  With the market focus and core expertise clearly reflected in the new company names, this will enable us to serve our customers and their end-users more effectively.
