ST Electronics Subsidiary, Chartered Electro-Optics Pte Ltd, Changes Name

Singapore, 29 March 2006 — Singapore Technologies Electronics Limited (ST Electronics), the electronics arm of Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd (ST Engineering), today announced that its subsidiary, Chartered Electro-Optics Pte Ltd (CEO) has changed its name to STELOP Pte Ltd (STELOP).

This new name better reflects the thrust of the company as it embarks on more projects in the region to serve our customers in both the defence and commercial sectors. The change also reflects the company’s growth focus regionally while maintaining a clear and strong identity with ST Electronics.

STELOP is a 50.05% subsidiary of ST Electronics with the remaining shareholder being Electro Optics International B.V, a company registered in the Netherlands. STELOP’s electro-optics technologies are used in applications such as thermal imaging, long range surveillance, range finders, day and night surveillance. STELOP offers designing and engineering capabilities in system engineering, electronics, mechanical and optics.
