Using active sonars with high output power and directivity, the SDSN can detect, identify and track infiltrating divers at long range. The SDSN provides authorities with greater real-time visibility on submerged threats, thereby, empowering them to make more informed decisions and effective counter-measures. Key features include automatic target tracking, determination of target data (bearing, range, course, speed, etc.), and initiation of counter-measures, such as high-power sound source.
