Singapore, 7 June 2005 — Singapore Technologies Electronics Limited (ST Electronics) will be introducing a new line of high-powered Agilis Solid State Power Amplifier (SSPA) for the fast growing broadcasting and telecommunication industry at CommunicAsia 2005, to be held from 14 – 17 June 2005 at the Singapore Expo.
The Agilis SSPA will be exhibited with other leading radio frequency and microwave products for satellite communication use. The company has over the years produced innovative solutions for communication users, marketed by ST Electronics’ subsidiary, ST Electronics (Satcom & Sensor Systems) Pte Ltd.
The SSPA can be deployed in harsh environments and extreme temperatures, yet delivers quality performance for mobile, fixed and large earth station communication needs. This new line of SSPA is highly suited for broadcasting and telecommunication applications for both mobile and fixed stations. Typical applications of the SSPA are in broadcasting events of global interest, such as the Olympic Games and other international sports and news events, disaster management and recovery operations.
The new series of C-band, X-Band and Ku-Band Solid State Power Amplifiers provides up to 400, 100 and 125 watts rated output power respectively, with excellent heat management and reliability. This series comes with embedded controller for 1+1 redundancy monitor and control feature and supports Ethernet protocol to provide feature-rich, high performance Solid State Power Amplifier at significantly lower price.
