RICHARDSON, TX 12 January 2005 — Intelect Technologies, Inc. has introduced the ST2800 Emergency Integrated Communications System (EICS). Now the U.S. market has access to a well-designed Fixed or Mobile Command Center for any public safety agency for the most efficient response. The system has previously been used in the Asian Pacific Rim countries and was developed by Singapore Technologies Electronics Limited. The ST2800 EICS enhances dispatch operations by facilitating coordination of response and recovery activities, resource allocation and daily operational activities. Whether responding to emergency calls or calls for assistance by the public, the system provides radio interoperability for multi-agencies, thus solving problems faced by many emergency response agencies today due to different radio vendors and different frequencies.
The system facilitates interfaces to various types of radios and networks and allows talkgroup and radio conference nets to be formed among the various radios thereby ensuring seamless direct communication between different agencies’ and/or disaster recovery teams. Applications ranging from Computer Telephony Integrated (CTI)-based answering platform, Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Geographic Information System (GIS), Information Management System, Radio Communication System and Voice Logging can now be tightly integrated to allow for ease of incident and resource management. This cost-effective solution offers an Integrated Communications Platform, Seamless Integrated Dispatch Operations, Multi-Agency Radio Interoperability, and Interconnection of Command Centers.
The ST2800 EICS is flexible and scalable, contains fully redundant topology, offers comparative pricing, features intuitive GUI, and aides in configuration and management. System features include Manned or Unmanned Radio Access, Integrated Dispatch Console, Traffic Monitoring System, Wireless Communications, Line Communications and System Management Console.
